1. Order

Where and how can I order PLEXIGLAS® products?

Please order all small and sample quantities up to a girth dimension of 5100 mm (1 x length + 2 x width + 2 x thickness of the package incl. packaging) only via our online store. The maximum panel size that can be ordered is limited to a length of 3000 mm as well as the width resulting from the girth dimension.

How do I receive my invoice?

Your invoices for current orders are always enclosed with the goods.

Is there a minimum order size?

  • The minimum order size for plate blanks is 200 mm (length) x 100 mm (width).
  • The minimum order size for tube or bar blanks is 150 mm (length).
  • The minimum order size for multi-skin sheet blanks is 500 mm (length).

How can I find out about the status of my order?

Once you have placed your order, you will receive an email confirmation.
After the package is handed over to the shipping service provider, you will receive a link with a tracking ID to track the delivery status (if the delivery method allows it).
In case of bulky goods, the forwarding agent will notify the delivery by phone.

Can I change my order later?

If you wish to change your order, please contact our customer service via our helpdesk. However, we do not guarantee that we will be able to accommodate your change requests in every case.

To which countries do you deliver?

We deliver to all countries or regions that can be selected in the order process:
Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia (mainland), Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France (mainland), Germany, Greece (mainland), Ireland, Italy (mainland), Latvia, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands (mainland), Norway, Poland, Portugal (mainland), Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain (mainland), Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom.

Are there import or customs fees for deliveries to third countries?

Yes, for deliveries to Switzerland, England and Norway, there may be additional import and customs charges that must be paid by the recipient.

We do not deliver to the following countries and regions:

  • Countries outside the European Union (except Switzerland, England and Norway)
  • French islands
  • Greek islands
  • Italian islands
  • Croatian island
  • Dutch islands
  • Portuguese islands
  • Spanish islands

Deliveries to postal packing stations are not possible!

How fast will my goods be delivered?

Ready for shipment in 48 hours:
It is important to us that you receive your desired products as quickly as possible. Therefore, we usually cut, pack and ship your order within 48 hours (in terms of working days) from receipt of payment (if you have paid in advance). If, contrary to expectations, the ordered material or the ordered quantity of the material is not available from stock, we will of course inform you immediately.

Your order (except for bulky items) leaves our factory within 48 hours and usually arrives within 3 business days.

Bulky goods also leave our factory within 48 hours and usually reach you within 5 to 10 working days (depending on the shipping company).

Can I also pick up my goods in person?

Yes, you can pick up your goods at our factory in DE-64732 Bad König (Odenwald).
Procedure for self pickup:

  1. We will send you, as soon as the goods are ready for collection, the invoice by e-mail
  2. You can pick up your goods on presentation of the invoice within our pick-up time from Monday - Friday between 8:00 - 14:30 at our factory

Do you charge a shortage surcharge?

No, we do not charge our customers a minimum quantity surcharge.

2. Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

Our online store offers several payment options:

  • Prepayment (cutting and delivery will only take place after receipt of your payment)
  • Direct debit
  • Credit card (Visa, Master Card)
  • Instant bank transfer
  • PayPal
  • Purchase on account
With purchase on account you pay conveniently up to 14 days after your order. The purchase on account is processed via a German payment service provider. Please note that the following requirements apply for this payment method:
  • Only available for orders within Germany and Austria
  • The invoice value must be at least 30€ and maximum 500€
  • Invoice address and delivery address must be identical

Do you offer an installment option?

No, currently we do not offer an installment payment option for orders placed through our online store.

3. Shipping

How are the shipping costs calculated?

Fixed shipping costs apply in Germany.
The shipping costs outside of Germany are determined online at the shipping service providers and depend on the delivery address (country), weight and the total size of your order.
In your shopping cart, the shipping costs determined in this way are shown separately.

What if I am not at home at the time of delivery?

If we do not meet you on the delivery date, our shipping service provider will contact you to reschedule; depending on the country you are in and the delivery method chosen.

Are shipping costs incurred for product samples?

If an order consists only of individual product samples, the buyer does not incur any shipping costs. The individual samples are free of shipping costs. This does not apply to sample boxes or collections.

4. Warranty

What rights do I have in the event of any defects?

If the defects are insignificant, we do not assume any warranty. However, if your goods should arrive defective to a relevant extent and you justifiably complain about this, you will receive a replacement delivery. For this purpose, we shall be granted a reasonable period of time.

5. Other questions

Do you operate your own retail stores?

6. Products

What is the difference between PLEXIGLAS® GS and PLEXIGLAS® XT?

PLEXIGLAS® GS and PLEXIGLAS® XT are manufactured differently and therefore each has its own specific advantages:
PLEXIGLAS® GS is manufactured in a casting process. Compared with PLEXIGLAS® XT, it is much more resistant to weathering and aging, less prone to stress cracking and yellowing, and has an even better surface quality.
PLEXIGLAS® XT is formed by extrusion and subsequent rolling. Compared with PLEXIGLAS® GS, it is easier to form and bond, has an even lower thickness tolerance and is generally somewhat less expensive.

Which PLEXIGLAS® LED products are best suited for my project?

The glazing of LED luminaires places high demands on the material used, because the punctual light of the LEDs must be distributed evenly, uniformly and without the formation of hotspots. For this reason, we have developed a special brand acrylic glass for perfect LED lighting.

How can I determine the appropriate panel thickness for my project?

Is there a difference between PLEXIGLAS® and acrylic?

In terms of material, there is no difference. Acrylic glass is the common abbreviation for the material polymethyl methacrylate. PLEXIGLAS® is our trademarked product name and, in turn, the world's first acrylic glass. The outstanding quality and widespread use of our products eventually ensured that our name is also used as a synonym for the entire category.

What is the difference between acrylic and polycarbonate?

The materials are similar, but not identical. There are almost infinite applications for both materials.
Compared to polycarbonate, PLEXIGLAS® is about 5% more transparent, so the "real glass effect" is higher. It is also more scratch-resistant, UV-resistant and non-yellowing. Polycarbonate, on the other hand, is even more resilient than acrylic of the same thickness.

Who can I contact with certificate requests?

All PLEXIGLAS® products undergo extensive material tests and demanding test procedures by independent institutions. You will find the corresponding guarantees and test certificates in our download area.
