Designing the kitchen splashback with light
There are almost endless possibilities when it comes to designing your own kitchen. The crowning glory is lighting that combines bright light for working with a cozy ambience - like an LED kitchen splashback made of PLEXIGLAS®.
Alternative to a tiled backsplash
An illuminated kitchen splashback is an alternative to a ceiling light or lighting that is integrated into the kitchen cabinets. It also combines the useful, namely splash protection, with a design element - which can also be customized to suit your own taste. For example, discreet warm white lighting is possible, as is a bright color accent or a desired motif that is backlit.
“Illuminated kitchen splashbacks are an extraordinary design element because light can completely change the impression of rooms,” explains Rainer Horst, Managing Director of Acryl-Licht-Design GmbH. Horst has been developing and producing lighting design objects since 2005, primarily made of stainless steel, acrylic glass and light-emitting diodes (LEDs) - since 2010, these have also included kitchen splashbacks and shower walls, which impressively demonstrate the homogeneous illumination that can be created by combining PLEXIGLAS® with LEDs.
